Come and commemorate the late 1980s at our next WHiST Across the Decades Event
Our next WHiST Across the Decades event will be held in our coffee bar on Thursday 27th August, 2:30-5:30pm. We'll be looking at the years 1986-1990, five years which represented a great many turning points, including the dismantling of the Berlin Wall, Nelson Mandela's release from prison, the apex of Neighbours-mania, and of course, in 1986, the foundation of Women's Health in South Tyneside. We've Got it in the Bag!
On 6th August 2026, WHiST Heritage volunteers and staff were lucky enough to visit FabLab at The Word to learn how to use their sublimation printer to print tote bags of our own design.

Celebrating 40 Years of Women's Health in South Tyneside - our big birthday bash
On June 11th, we gathered at Hedworth Hall to celebrate WHiST's first 40 years, to launch our Salus Heritage Project, and to look forward to the future.
