We've Got it in the Bag!

On 6th August 2026, WHiST Heritage volunteers and staff were lucky enough to visit FabLab at The Word to learn how to use their sublimation printer to print tote bags of our own design.
We had decided to take inspiration from the slogan-heavy and iconic 1980s' FRANKIE SAYS [RELAX; etc] T-shirts and create bags with a theme of WHIST SAYS ...
Some of these featured our own designs, developed using online tools. Others are created as templates, so that attendees of our next WHIST Across the Decades event on 27th August will have the opportunity to create their own designs using fabric pens and stencils.
Your humble writer had to confess that this was the nearest she'd been to an iron in a long time - but this was pressing with purpose. Fantastic teamwork meant that we had a very effective tote-bag printing production line going.
