Come and commemorate the late 1980s at our next WHiST Across the Decades Event
Updated: Aug 11
Our next WHiST Across the Decades event will be held in our coffee bar on Thursday 27th August, 2:30-5:30pm.

We'll be looking at the years 1986-1990, five years which represented a great many turning points, including the dismantling of the Berlin Wall, Nelson Mandela's release from prison, the peak of Neighbours-mania, and of course, in 1986, the foundation of Women's Health in South Tyneside.
The food, quiz and music playlists at our first event were extremely popular so we'll be repeating all these elements.
We've added a craft activity this time: participants will be invited to design or customise their own tote bag, taking inspiration from the bold slogans and iconic FRANKIE SAYS t-shirts of the era
Come along and join the party! Dressing up is optional but we can guarantee it adds to the fun. Especially when we're commemorating the era when there were no shoulder pads too wide, nor perms too frizzy.
