Weekly Heritage Group Sessions

Our weekly Heritage Group has a revised timetable: in line with participant feedback where longer sessions would be preferred, we'll meet on Monday mornings at 10:30-12:00, then have lunch break before reconvening at 12:30-2:30pm.

We've also set a regular plan so that all the aspects of the project will be allocated to a particular Monday of each month:

  • The first Monday of each month will focus on oral histories, personal stories, audio (and eventually turning these recordings into themed podcasts)

  • The second Monday of each month will focus on building our WHiST archive, sorting documents and photos, and doing background research to make sense of our story.

  • The third Monday of each month will focus on our HistoryPin collection - adding new pins about individual women, groups and places.

  • On any months where we have five Mondays, the fourth one will be open-ended, depending on our priorities and whether or not we’ve missed a session to accommodate holidays, trips or guest speakers.

  • The final Monday of each month will be a morning-only session. This will usually be for event planning for the following month’s Across the Decades event, or an occasional guest speaker.

This timetable may be subject to change, depending on staff holidays or opportunities for guest speakers and heritage trips, so please do check with Jude (jude@whist.org.uk) if you'd like to know what's happening on a particular Monday.
